On Da Beat is a rap app for iOS. One of our own concepts at Baboons. We built it because it seemed like a fun product idea. In the app its full name is Super Gaande On Da Beat, presented by Supergaande. It runs as a beta on TestFlight for now.
The idea
"Jij rijmt. De beat gaat door." You rhyme, the beat keeps going. That's in big letters on the start screen. Below it, what you're meant to do. Pick a beat, grab your words and let your flow be heard. Under that sits the button that starts your battle.
How you play
First you pick a beat. There are beats in genres like hiphop and trap. Each beat shows its tempo in BPM.
Then the battle starts. Words come down a rhythm lane. BLING, say, or KING. You rap them on the beat.
Under Jouw voortgang, your progress, you see how many sessions you played and how many words you rapped. The app counts your beats too.
