Building websites in Tilburg
At Baboons we build websites for companies in Tilburg, and well beyond it too. A website is often a good starting point, but what we like best is to look together at the tools and means that get your customers and potential leads to your products and services as fast as possible. We do that most of all for SMEs and start-ups that want to step on the gas and value speed, quick decisions and short lines.
Thinking about redesigning or relaunching your business website? You are in the right place. Together with teams and companies we look for the wins that make it easier and faster for your customers to request a quote, find a product or get in touch with you.
What we make
Websites that work. Not a template out of a box, not a brochure site that feels like a business card again after a month. The sites we have shipped have their own backend and content layer, and we keep looking, together with our clients, at whether the site does what it should. If you want more than showing, and people need to log in and actually do something, you are looking at building a web app. And when you need to be on phones, in the App Store and Google Play, that is where an app developer in Tilburg comes in.
As an example, for CryptoAutos we built a whole product line around a web3 car platform: a Next.js landing, a headless CMS, a Python backend and separate Next.js apps for rentals and booking. For Market Makers we built an online trading platform with a public Nuxt app and an internal Vue dashboard, both connected to a Django backend. For Nubikk we built an NFT commerce environment for the sneaker brand's tenth anniversary.
Having a website built: how we approach it
Whether you call it having a website made or having one built, for us it is the same track. As a website builder in Tilburg we start with what your customers need and work back to the tech from there. Not a set of loose pages you have to tie together later, but a site with its own backend and content layer that grows with you. That way we build a website that does what it should, well after launch too.
How we work
As a Tilburg company we sit close to all the makers and manufacturers in the region, but our knowledge and skills reach well beyond the city limits. We work locally and internationally, and either way we always look at your workflows together with you, where there are gains to be made and how to translate that into a website that fits.
For web we like to work in modern stacks. Often Next.js or Nuxt for the frontend, with a headless CMS behind it where that fits. When you need a real backend, it usually runs on Python or Node. We scale with what the site needs, and if it can stay simple, we keep it simple.
Building a site does not end at launch. We stay around for the updates and the versions that come after.
What does building a website cost?
That depends on what the site has to do: a clear company site is different from a platform with a login, a backend, and integrations. The scope decides the price far more than the word "website". We are happy to work it out together with you, and how that works is in what building a website or app costs.
Do you use WordPress or templates?
No, we build custom work in modern stacks, often Next.js or Nuxt with a headless CMS behind it. That gets you a site that does exactly what you need, without running into the walls of a standard package. When a standard package is the better choice, we say so too, as we explain in custom software or a standard package.
What is the difference between a website and a web app?
A website mainly lets you show something, a web app mainly lets you do something, like logging in, entering data, or collaborating. Where the line sits and what it means for your choice, we explain in the difference between a website and a web app.
How long does it take to build a website?
Count on weeks, not months, for a solid company site. Once a login, a backend, or custom functionality comes in, the lead time goes up. We map that planning out for you up front.
What happens after launch?
Having a site built does not end at the launch. We stay available for updates, new pages, and the versions that come after, and we keep checking with you whether the site still does what it should.
